Social Responsibility
A significant environmental and ecological contribution
In a world that is increasingly aware of the ecosystem, VIVA helps respect the environment. The liquid concentrate of mineral contained in the bag-in-box allows 100 liters of remineralized water to be dispensed, with an immediate significant reduction in environmental pollution, caused both by the accumulation of solid waste and by the everyday transit of delivery trucks carrying bottles and containers.
VIVA bag-in-box vs PET bottle
100 liters of product dispensed through the VIVA bag-in-box are equivalent to 66.66 PET bottles of 1.5 liters which, in terms of weight, means 2 kg versus 100 kg.

Plastic: about 35 grams for both containers. Consequently, 35 grams of plastic are enough for 100 liters of water in VIVA bag-in-box compared to 2,333 grams for 100 liters of bottled drinks.
The production of 1 kg of plastic requires 1.5 kg of fuel, 17.5 liters of water and generates 2.3 kg of carbon dioxide, 40 grams of hydrocarbons, 25 grams of sulfur oxide, 18 grams of carbon monoxide.

The use of VIVA bag-in-box generates a saving of 98.5% of these consumptions.
To package 17,000 bottles, equivalent to 25,500 liters of drink, 595 kg are needed compared to the 8.9 kg of plastic needed for the VIVA bag-in-box (ratio 1:66).

To transport 17,000 bottles of 1.5 liters each, corresponding to a fully loaded articulated lorry, the vehicle consumes 25 liters of fuel every 100 km; for the same quantity of liters, 255 VIVA bag-in-box are needed which, in terms of volume, means less than 1 pallet and therefore a small van is sufficient. As a result, fuel consumption decreases by 20 liters per 100 km.
